SP DX Contest 2008

Here we have the final results of the SP DX Contest 2008. Thanks for participation in the SP DX Contest 2008, in our single-country event, which still gathers a lot of interest thanks to you: contesters from all over the world.

The SP DX Contest 2008 was a Jubilee Contest. We were celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the first edition of the contest. Thanks to all participants for being a part of our very special HAM radio event.

The final results of the SP DX Contest 2008 were presented in October 18 during the annual Meeting of the SP DX Club. Full contest story and comments will be published here on the website very soon. We are also preparing the PDF version of the final results.

Number of awards in each country and category depends on the number of participants. We decided to use the following routine:
Number of participantsNumber of awards
1 - 41
5 - 92
10 - 143
15 - 204
21 - 305
31 - 406
41 - 507
51 - 608
61 - 709

Maximum 10 awards were awarded in a category. In general there are 576 awards in all countries/categories.

TROPHIES, PLAQUES, SPECIAL AWARDS

Every year we have special trophies or plaques sponsored for the best scores in a category, best CW score, best score from a continent etc. The awarded "category" is always the decision of a donor. Sponsored "categories" are not the same as contest categories. We have trophies for the best continental scores, best YL score etc. This year the following plaques were donated:
